Our Story
LevelUp Australia began in 2023 as the passion project of David Morgan, a former professional esports competitor who recognized the lack of dedicated facilities for gamers in Melbourne. Having experienced the fragmented nature of Australia's gaming community firsthand, David envisioned a space where both casual gamers and aspiring professionals could access high-quality equipment, training, and community support under one roof.
Starting with just 20 gaming stations in a small rented space in South Melbourne, LevelUp quickly gained popularity among local gamers. Within the first year, membership doubled month over month, leading to our first major expansion in early 2024. This success attracted the attention of Rebecca Winters, a renowned esports coach who joined the team to develop our now-acclaimed coaching program.
By mid-2024, LevelUp had outgrown its original location, prompting our move to our current 1,500 square meter facility in Melbourne's Tech Park. The larger space allowed us to expand our offerings to include dedicated tournament areas, private team training rooms, and professional broadcasting studios – making LevelUp the comprehensive gaming hub it is today.
Our community now includes over 10,000 members, ranging from casual weekend gamers to professional teams who use our facilities as their primary training ground. From hosting local tournaments to serving as the training facility for teams competing internationally, LevelUp has established itself as the epicenter of Australia's growing esports ecosystem.
